Interpreting Statistical Models
Overview
On February 10, 2025, the R Workshop hosted Vincent Arel-Bundock (Université de Montréal) for a demonstration based on his upcoming book “How to Interpret Statistical Results Using marginaleffects
for R and Python.”
The book presents a simple but powerful conceptual framework to help analysts make sense of over 100 different types of statistical and machine learning models in R and Python.
Dr. Arel-Bundock is an Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal. His research focuses on the politics of international taxation, foreign direct investment, and political methodology. He is the author of numerous contributions to open source statistical computing software, and recipient of the Best Statistical Software Award by The Society for Political Methodology in the 2023-24 cycle.
